A university press wanted a poster about their preferred font to decorate their new building.

The brief required a poster composed using only typography and layout, all set in various weights of Josefin Sans.

I began by researching the history and use of the font and its designer.

Given the very specific instructions, I paid exceptional attention to use of column grid and page regions to enable engaging typography-only design. I used ample negative space to create 5 distinct text regions. Careful attention to margin and midline, along with deliberate asymmetry, adhered to instructions while opening up the visual interest of the piece.
